Founded in 2010, DOG for DOG is a company that offers dog food, treats, toys and accessories with a mission to help dogs in need. DOG for DOG’s philosophy is “You Buy. We Donate. They Eat!” For every product sold, a monetary portion will be donated to a dog in need. DOG for DOG’s donation program works with local shelters nationwide as well as national organizations like Best Friends Animal Society.
Among the DOG for DOG line of toys is an alligator tug toy that, unstretched, measures 11 inches in length. It’s an interactive toy with a squeaker in the head and a “tug-me” ropey tail that enables it to be used as a toss, fetch or tug toy.
We presented the DOG for DOG alligator toy to Mason, our test dog. A soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, Mason thoroughly enjoyed the toy the moment he heard it squeak. He even looked for someone to grab the tug rope to play a game of tug-of-war. Mason proudly carried the toy around the house, and he was even inclined to cuddling with it during an afternoon nap. The plush toy has an enticing texture and two nubby back legs that kept Mason entertained for hours.
The toy is great for interactive play and ideal for teething pups that love the texture of rope. However, it is not suitable for strong chewers. Supervision is advised for mild to moderate chewers. Do not allow a pet to play with the toy if it becomes damaged.
