119 Dogs Rescued from Puppy Mill

Thanks to the effort of the RHEA County Animal Shelter, 119 Yorkies, Chihuahuas and other smaller-breed dogs were rescued in October from what was deemed the “worst puppy mill situation” in Knoxville, Tennessee. In effort to care for the dogs and nurse them back to good health, Pet Supplies Plus recently donated over $20,000 worth of products, supplies and services.

While some dogs have regained their health, some are still are on the road to recovery and waiting to be medically cleared. With each dog in foster care, the search for their forever happy home has begun. Donations to the RHEA County Animal Shelter are welcome. For more information on when the animals will be available for adoption or how to donate, please visit the website or call (423) 775-7837.
